This framework provides some of the necessary day to day classroom and campus tools to give substance to the Key Principles, so that daily school routines, applied in a consistent and coherent manner will ensure we reach our vision.
This is predicated on agreed processes, procedures and attitudes outlined below.
Fundamental Rights
The right to work effectively
The right to learn, be taught and to teach
The right to be safe and welcome, both psychologically and physically in the school building
This is best understood when the following basic rules are observed:
Ground Rules for Learning Situations
Follow instructions straight away
Keep arms, legs, comments and objects to yourself
Be positive in your attitude to others and your work
Departmentally specific additions will offer a degree of flexibility to meet circumstances – e.g. in Science, Home Economics and CDT.
Student specific, negotiated ground rules
It must then be understood that there are consequences when these ground rules are not followed.
